The enchanting concoction combines the beloved Brazilian street food ‘Pastel de Feira’ with the world-renowned Portuguese egg-custard pastry ‘Pastel de Belém’ or ‘Pastel de Natas.’

Equally, if you’ve explored Brazil, you’ve likely savored the refreshing notes of Guarana Antarctica, a cherished Brazilian soda. The twist lies in the fusion of these two classic foods, both bearing the same name but originating from different corners of the world.
When Guarana Antarctica sought to make a mark in Portugal, Beta Collective, in collaboration with Portuguese agency Adagietto, proposed a culinary challenge: merging the flavors of Brazilian and Portuguese ‘pastels.’ Renowned Brazilian-Portuguese chef Kiko was enlisted to craft this unique recipe, resulting in a mouthwatering combination of the Brazilian pastel on the outside and the Portuguese pastel de nata on the inside.
This fusion of tastes not only tantalizes the taste buds but also symbolizes a celebration of cultural and culinary diversity. Bernardo Tavares, Executive Creative Director of Beta Collective, expresses the spirit behind the creation: “Guaraná has this contagious energy and spirit.
