Picture this: International Women’s Day, March 8, 2024. Le Chocolat des Français, in collaboration with TBWA\Paris, unveils “Le Chocolat des Françaises” – a delectable homage to four remarkable women overlooked by history.
In a delightful twist on traditional chocolate offerings, “Le Chocolat des Françaises” presents a collection of four chocolate blocks, each paying tribute to a pioneering woman who shaped French history. From directors to mathematicians, these unsung heroines finally get the recognition they deserve.
To infuse these extraordinary women with a touch of modernity, TBWA\Paris and Le Chocolat des Français conceived a unique interactive experience. Each chocolate block features the brand’s iconic design alongside an exclusive snapcode. By scanning the code with Snapchat, users unlock captivating animations narrated by the illustrious women themselves. It’s a playful blend of history and technology, bringing their stories to life in a whole new way.
Let’s meet the stars of “Le Chocolat des Françaises”:
- Alice Guy: The trailblazing director, screenwriter, and producer who helmed the first fiction film in cinema history.
- Marthe Gauthier: The pioneering physician and paediatrician who discovered the chromosomal anomaly behind Down’s syndrome.
- Olympe de Gouges: A fearless politician and feminist trailblazer, advocating for gender equality long before it became mainstream.
- Sophie Germain: The brilliant mathematician whose groundbreaking work on the elasticity of metals laid the foundation for iconic structures like the Eiffel Tower.
But “Le Chocolat des Françaises” isn’t just about celebrating these remarkable women – it’s about making a difference. For every chocolate block sold, €1 will be donated to “Dans le Genre égales,” a charity dedicated to promoting gender equality. And the inclusivity doesn’t stop there. Online, people are invited to suggest names of other forgotten pioneers, ensuring that the collection continues to grow and evolve.
Crafted with the brand’s signature humor and vibrancy, the campaign was brought to life in collaboration with the talented directors and illustrators at Eddy Production. From March 8, 2024, the campaign will captivate audiences, while the chocolate blocks will be available exclusively on the Le Chocolat des Français website and in stores starting mid-February.
So, as you indulge in these delectable treats, remember the women who paved the way for future generations. Their stories may have been forgotten, but their legacy lives on in every bite of “Le Chocolat des Françaises.”
