Nestlé Chocapic is a beloved cereal brand in France, known for its delicious taste and iconic mascot, Pico. Recently, the brand embarked on an exciting project with McCann Paris to bring Pico to life in 3D animation for the first time. The result? “Pico’s Fantastic Voyage,” a captivating adventure that takes viewers on a miniature journey to explore the natural ingredients that make Chocapic so irresistible.
The project aimed to create a cinematic experience, even within the constraints of a 15-second timeframe. The challenge was to make the characters, environments, and cinematography feel immersive and engaging while staying true to Pico’s charming style. Special attention was given to Pico’s fur, ensuring it translated seamlessly into the 3D world while maintaining the essence of the original design.
The adventure unfolds with one major action shot, where a dynamic camera perspective draws viewers into the heart of the action, allowing them to experience the rush of movement and the awe-inspiring scale of the journey. From lush wheat fields to delectable chocolate, every detail was meticulously crafted to evoke wonder and delight.
The campaign, titled “Chocapic – Pico’s Fantastic Voyage,” premiered in Canada and France in February 2024. Produced for Nestlé by the creative minds at McCann Paris, this digital and film campaign showcases the magic of storytelling and the power of animation to captivate audiences of all ages.
